Beef And Pork Soup - Strong Broth
This beef and pork soup with beef shank and ham hock is super easy to prepare and tastes delicious. It is especially healthy because of the nutrients in the bones and cartilage, like calcium, phosphorous, magnesium, sulfur, fluoride, sodium, potassium and collagen. This is a perfect meal to prepare and eat for a few days or store some of it in the freezer

  3. Finally, pour in the water and let everything simmer for 5-6 hours with the lid on. Stir and add some water occasionally to make sure the meat is completely covered. It is perfect when the meat falls from the bones and most of the bone marrow dissolved into the liquid
Soup
  1. Put about 1.5 liter water into a medium sized pot and add about 500 gram meat and 2.5 liter liquid from the previously prepared broth. Set the plate to medium heat
  2. Now, add the seasonings & vegetables and wait until the broth starts to boil
  3. Finally, let the soup cook for about 30 minutes with the lid on, until the vegetables are done

Oxtail Soup - Super Healthy
This soup is not just awesome if you are sick, but is also prepared with low effort and gives the opportunity to freeze a lot of it and just heat it up on a lazy day. Maybe, with some extra vegetables or fast cooked meat thrown in.

Oxtail soup
Instructions
  1. Sear the oxtail and the bones with clarified butter in a big pot
  2. Pour hot water into the pot, until it is completely filled. Don't pour cold water into hot fat, it could start to burn!
  3. Let it simmer for at least 4-5 hours with the lid on. It is perfect when the meat and bone marrow separate from the bones on its own. Occasionally, pour new water into the pot until it is filled again.
  4. Cut vegetables, put them in and add the seasonings
  5. Let it simmer until the vegetables are done
Recipe Notes

This recipe works with any kind of meat. However, notice that it is important to use meat including bones, if you want the good, healthy stuff like collagen and minerals. These dissolve in the soup/broth after a few hours of cooking.
