This easy recipe for oven baked pork tails is super simple and only needs 2 minutes of preparation and an hour of cooking time in the oven. If you like to gnaw off bones this is an awesome meal for you.
Put the pork tails on a baking tray and add all seasonings
Next, melt the butter & coconut oil in the microwave for about 20 seconds and pour the mixture onto the pork tails
Put the tray into the oven for about 20-25 minutes
After that, take out the tray and add the vegetables
Finally, set the oven to 190°C, put the tray back in and let everything cook for another 30-35 minutes, until the pork tails get a crust and the vegetables are done. Mix the vegetables with the grease on the tray before placing them on a plate
This vegetable mushroom puree is a super tasty and saturating side dish. If you want something with low effort, it serves as a main dish, too. I made this recipe up by myself.
This soup is not just awesome if you are sick, but is also prepared with low effort and gives the opportunity to freeze a lot of it and just heat it up on a lazy day. Maybe, with some extra vegetables or fast cooked meat thrown in.
Sear the oxtail and the bones with clarified butter in a big pot
Pour hot water into the pot, until it is completely filled. Don't pour cold water into hot fat, it could start to burn!
Let it simmer for at least 4-5 hours with the lid on. It is perfect when the meat and bone marrow separate from the bones on its own. Occasionally, pour new water into the pot until it is filled again.
Cut vegetables, put them in and add the seasonings
Let it simmer until the vegetables are done
Recipe Notes
This recipe works with any kind of meat. However, notice that it is important to use meat including bones, if you want the good, healthy stuff like collagen and minerals. These dissolve in the soup/broth after a few hours of cooking.
